With National Mortgage Guarantee (NHG) your mortgage will be safer and cheaper. This is because it is a guarantee to the lender that your mortgage will be repaid. As a result, you can often borrow more, and you get up to 0.5% discount on the mortgage interest.
NHG is available for loans when buying a home, but also for improvements and renovations. A condition is that the total loan, including all additional costs, does not exceed €250,000 and that you meet certain income standards. You must also pay a one-off premium for the guarantee.
